This half-term the children have been learning about the local area and visited the Black Country Museum. The day started off with a Victorian School lesson. The children were greeted by the teacher and asked to line up in two separate lines, boys and girls. During the lesson they had to sit quietly and were taught the alphabet, times tables and handwriting. If they were naughty or rude Miss would bring out the cane. Thankfully behaviour was excellent and it was not needed!
The children had the opportunity to explore the museum and talk to people who were in character about their particular life.
Black-Country-Living-Museum-2On the bus home it was clear that the children enjoyed the trip and learnt a lot about the local area. Their behaviour and attitude during the day was excellent. A big well done to Year 5.
