Year 11 students had an assembly today on the post-16 provision available at Walsall College. Pupils learnt about the facilities available, and the different pathways they can choose, including apprenticeships. A big thank you to Barr Beacon, Wednesfield, and Walsall College for recently delivering these assemblies and helping our pupils choose their next steps.
On Monday 29th September, Year 7 pupils were given the fantastic opportunity to see a performance of “My Mate Fancies You” by Loudmouth. The focus of the performance was to support pupils with friendships and relationships through times of change, including the transition from primary to secondary and changes of feelings during puberty. Pupils also saw the cast stay in character when discussing the physical as well as emotional changes that happen during puberty. During and after the performance, pupils were signposted to support in and out of school. Details of our RSHE Policy can be found on our website. This content is now statutory and forms a key part of our provision at school. Should you have any queries, please contact Miss Williamson at postbox@bloxwichacademy.co.uk.
Last Friday we celebrated National Teaching Assistant Day. We took a moment across school to recognize the incredible contributions of our Teaching Assistants (TAs) who support learning, inspire our children, and help classrooms thrive every single day.
Whether helping with lesson preparation, working one-on-one with pupils, or providing a calm and consistent presence, TAs are essential to the success of our wonderful school.
🎉 A huge THANK YOU to all our TAs — your dedication, patience, and passion make a real difference.
As an appreciation of our gratitude, teachers made cards with pupils in their classes and bought gifts.
