Pivot Point Personal Training

Yesterday saw Pivot Point attend their first Personal Training session at AJ’s Gym. Pivot Point pupils will attend AJ’s Gym each morning for sessions to work up a sweat, and get them ready for their lessons later in the day. Today was a cardio circuit where pupils worked for 2-3 minutes on each machine for 3 rounds, all pupils worked really hard. Thanks to Craig for the session

World Book Day

Bloxwich Academy are celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 7th March.

We are asking that pupils DO NOT dress up. Instead we have a range of activities pupils can get involved in.

Competitions

  • Pupils have been asked to write a 500 word piece. It needs to be based on ““I believe the most courageous character I’ve ever read about is…”
    • There will be prizes for the top 3 and all entrants will be awarded class charts and house points.
  • Pupils and staff have been asked to take a photograph showing them reading somewhere funny and unexpected.
    • Top 10 photographs will win a prize.
    • All entrants will be used to build a display
  • Staff will be wearing a small copy of their favourite childhood book. Pupils are to write down as many as they can.
    • Top 3 pupils collecting information from staff will receive a prize

During this week, Bloxwich Academy are reopening their updated library. Staff and pupils will be invited from 3:00-4:00pm on Thursday 7th March to celebrate this.
