A selection of students from years 7 and 8 took part in a Talent ID day at West Bromwich Albion’s Academy centre today. The day consisted of a 7aside format tournament against a host of local secondary schools in the region. The aim of the programme is to provide an opportunity for talented footballers to showcase their abilities with the possibility of being scouted and providing a platform for them to progress through into an elite academy performance system. Our students performed magnificently reaching the final of the tournament, beating strong competition along the way only to lose to Sandwell Academy in the final.
