Staff and parents were incredibly proud to celebrate alongside our Year 11 pupils on GCSE results day on Thursday 20 August. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise their hard work, determination and achievements as they collected their results and prepared for the next exciting stage of their lives.

This year, Bloxwich Academy saw a significant increase in the number of pupils achieving the highest grades. The number of Grade 9s increased by 50% compared with last year, while 33 pupils achieved at least one Grade 7, 8 or 9.

We are proud of the successes of every pupil and recognise that each set of results represents an individual journey of hard work, progress and achievement. While we would like to celebrate all of our pupils, we would also like to highlight the exceptional achievements of these five pupils:

• Jay– achieved seven Grade 9s, with every other qualification awarded at Grade 7 or above.
• Praise –achieved four Grade 9s, with every other qualification awarded at Grade 7 or above.
• Olivia – achieved two Grade 9s, with three qualification at Grade 7 or above.
• Kai - achieved three Grade 9s, with every other qualification awarded at Grade 7 or above.
• Aurora – achieved two Grade 9s

Across the cohort of 195 pupils, there were many achievements to celebrate. We are extremely proud of the resilience and commitment shown by pupils throughout Year 11 as they worked to improve their outcomes and secure the qualifications needed for their future pathways.

“We are delighted by the outstanding individual achievements within this year’s results, including the 50% increase in Grade 9s. These results reflect the determination, resilience and commitment of our pupils.

“We are proud of every pupil who worked hard, overcame challenges and made progress throughout their time at Bloxwich Academy. Every result represents an individual journey and deserves to be celebrated.

“We wish every member of the Class of 2026 the very best as they move on to the next stage of their education, training or employment. We are confident that they will continue to demonstrate the ambition and resilience they have shown during their time with us.”

We would also like to thank all staff and families for the encouragement, guidance and support they have given pupils throughout their GCSE studies.
