As part of our World Book Day celebrations, we were delighted to be joined by author and inspirational speaker, Errol Lawson. He shared his stories with pupils, telling of how he overcame hardship in his teenage years and with support of those around him turned his life around to become a youth mentor, to inspire young people to ‘Be The Best They Can Be.’ Students were invited to participate in a question-and-answer session, with students receiving a copy of his latest book, ‘The Teen’s guide To becoming Unstoppable’ which he happily signed for students. A group of students were also selected to participate in a workshop run by Errol. He tailored his workshop for our students, who wanted to learn how to write a book – we may well have the next top selling author in our Academy! It was a fantastic day, and it was a privilege to see our students so engaged and inspired by Errol’s story.
