We aim at providing opportunities for participation in a range of linguistic and cultural educational experiences to be open-minded, tolerant global citizens, thus building their Cultural Capital, limiting the barriers between people which cause distrust and fear and encouraging respect for other peoples, fostering an understanding of the interrelation of language and human nature.

We ensure that our pupils are aware of the benefits of studying a modern foreign language insofar as this will improve their chances of getting a job, enhance their listening skills and memory, improve their knowledge of English and their grade, enhance their opportunities in government, business, medicine, law, technology, military, industry, marketing, as well as open the door to art, music, dance, fashion, cuisine, film, philosophy, science… Foreign language study is simply part of a very basic liberal education: to “educate” is to lead out, to lead out of confinement and narrowness and darkness.
