Over the past two days, we were delighted to welcome 4Schools into our school to deliver an exciting and engaging careers experience for our students.
All of our Year 7 pupils took part in a lively assembly and interactive “Have a Go” workshops, where they explored careers within the creative media sector, including TV, broadcasting and digital content creation. Students learnt about the wide range of roles involved, from idea creation and production to editing and advertising, and discovered how their own skills could link to future career opportunities.
Through hands-on activities, students even had the chance to plan and pitch their own TV-style content ideas, helping to build creativity, teamwork and confidence.
In addition, selected students in Years 8 and 9 participated in a Careers Quiz workshop, where they were introduced to the world of TV and broadcasting. This engaging session encouraged them to reflect on their own strengths and interests, while exploring potential career pathways and the different routes into the industry.
It has been a fantastic opportunity for our students to:
Gain insight into a fast-growing and exciting industry
Understand how classroom learning connects to real careers
Begin thinking about their own future aspirations
We would like to thank 4Schools for delivering such an inspiring and informative experience for our students.
