Our first Generating Genius – STEM Like Us mentoring session took place today, and it was an inspiring start to the programme. Students spent their 1 to 1 sessions exploring the wide range of career paths within STEM, reflecting on their own strengths and skills, and beginning to build meaningful relationships with their mentors. The conversations laid a strong foundation for future planning, setting them up to dive deeper into goal setting in Session 2. All the students engaged brilliantly and, even after the session ended, many chose to stay behind to continue exploring career ideas, colleges, universities, and apprenticeship opportunities sparked by their mentor discussions. A fantastic start to the journey!
