Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils recently took part in our exciting Good to be Green Day, a special reward event to recognise and celebrate their excellent behaviour throughout the summer term. Children were able to choose three activities to participate in, all led by members of staff. There was something for everyone, with a fantastic range of activities on offer including football, pickleball, cross stitch, cooking, arts and crafts, construction challenges, game creation, and much more. This term, pupils at Bloxwich Academy Primary have embarked on their exciting OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) journey, transforming lunchtimes into even more engaging, creative and active experiences. With a wide variety of activities now available, children have been enjoying tyre play, ball games, dancing, playground art and craft, imaginative play, and construction play. These opportunities have encouraged creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and active play, helping children make the most of their lunchtime experiences. Yesterday, our SSI team had the pleasure of delivering a Team Building Day for a small group of students from Bloxwich Primary School. Despite the exceptionally high temperatures leading to the school closing earlier than planned, the students showed fantastic enthusiasm, resilience and teamwork throughout the activities. They embraced every challenge, developed new skills and demonstrated excellent attitudes from start to finish. While we couldn't complete everything we had planned, the day was a great success, and we look forward to welcoming the group back in the future to complete the course. Year 1 have had a great day so far reliving the Victorian School era. The children have experienced what it's like to go to school in the Victorian era and used blackboards to do work today. Chanting their times tables. Playing old school games.  The children look great!
