Dance students from across the Matrix Academy Trust came together on Monday 21st November at Turves Green Boys School to perform in a collaborative project. Each school was assigned a section of ‘Celebrate’ by Pitbull to choreograph and perform, before all coming together as one to learn and perform the final section. The event saw over 100 students come together and share their passion for dance. Students thoroughly enjoyed the experience of performing in front of others and making new friends. The overall performance shows the motivation and commitment that these students have for the subject.

We are delighted to announce, Bloxwich Academy Primary have been awarded the 'Gold School Games Mark' award for the 2021-2022 academic year.  The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward and recognise school’s engagement (provision and uptake) in the School Games against a national benchmark and to celebrate keeping young people active, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.  Some of our successful school sport achievements this year have included:  The KS2 Girls football team being unbeaten in all games played across the academic year! …

Year 4 have had a fantastic couple of weeks! We have been getting involved in lots of activities in our recent residential and we have also been smashing out our summer term tests. For three days, Year 4 have been getting actively involved in some of the amazing activities that Woodlands outdoor activity centre had to offer. After arriving, children got to unpack, familiarise themselves with the buildings and even have time to play a couple of games of table football and pool.
